I am a senior at Chaparral High School, who sparked interest in woodworking four years ago when I wanted shelves in my room. While they were too expensive to buy, I could build them for a fraction of the price. So, I took a day class at a makerspace to learn the basics. The projects were simple at first, but in the last two years, I have designed all of the projects myself and learned from experience. I started the business Woodwose Design to share my work and finance my projects. Woodworking is a way for me to de-stress and have time to myself while exploring my creativity that is not cultivated in the classroom. I have played soccer for twelve years at the club and high school level, but keep my priorities in academics. I share my work in the hope to inspire others to explore their interests that are not fostered in school.
