I was born in Ray, Arizona in 1939. My formal art training began with four years at the Phoenix Technical School and two years at Palomar College in San Marcos, California majoring in commercial art. Followed by two years at the Los Angeles Art Center School majoring in advertising art direction. To accommodate financial obligations I extended my education to complete a major in Architectural Design and a minor in Computer Science. In 1995, after completing a contact with the U.S. Navy at the Pacific Missile Range at Barking Sands on Kauai, Hawaii, my wife Annette and I opened the Kauai "Village Gallery" in Hanapepe in 1995. We provided a showcase for my work and the works of over thirty local artists, including poetry readings, and traditional arts and crafts. We received a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition from Senator Daniel K. Inouye (HI) and U.S. Congressman Raul M. Greave (AZ) for our contributions to the arts. After eight successful years in business there, we returned to the Phoenix area to assist our aging parents. We now live in Goodyear, Arizona and have established a home studio on the Estrella Mountain Range. I am an award winning member of the West Valley Arts Council and the Arizona Arts Association.
